Coloured frontispiece (coat of arms), non-text plates including 3 in colour (coat of arms). Vintage green half-shell, 4 nerves. Interior freckles, otherwise very good condition. Proving its filiation since the year 980, the house of Rochechouart is considered to be the oldest surviving family of French nobility after the Capetians. Its members Rochechouart and Mortemart remained in possession for several centuries in Limousin.
