An album of samples of gouaches and textiles, prints on silk and cotton XIXth century in 31 sheets (26 x 32 cm, incomplete, sheets detached) for about a hundred samples. An interesting documentation on fashion textiles in the 19th century is included, comprising around one hundred leaves from the J. Claude Frères & Balliman Collection edition. Silk, organza, cotton, ribbon, cravatte, dress between 1840 and 1860 (31 x 44 cm). From the archives of Jean-Louis Lhopital, designer in Lyon, 17 Rue Royale between 1920 and 1940. All book plates for documentation and inspiration have been detached to form themes (yellowing, chips, small stains and tears).
