A Chinese jacket in black embroidered duchesse satin, Third Republic of China for export Circa 1930-1940. Straight-cut jacket, Mao collar, closed in front by eight silk fan-pass buttons (two buttons missing). Polychrome silk embroidery with birds, chrysanthemums and dalhias in pastel stitch and knot stitch. Slanted pockets and cuffs with embroidered flaps. Black satin lining. Good overall condition. Height 62 cm, shoulders 40 cm, chest 95 cm, sleeves 52 cm.
