Lampas broché gros de Tours cream period Louis XV, part of a bedspread à la Duchesse Circa 1750. River décor of gnarled branches laden with buttercup flowers and staggered country bouquets. Lined with a 17th-century Riom canvas, Siamese linen-cotton dyed with indigo or pastel. Large, ordered medallion decoration (rare brittleness and yellowing). 191 x 63 cm. Matching mantling (90 x 21 cm). Lampas in very good structural condition and beautiful polychromy, despite some fly-staining. Three 18th-century Aubusson tapestry seats (holes and gaps).
