Six large chintz curtains with sublimated Chinoiserie designs, printed on cotton using a six-color woodblock process Circa 1940-1950. The exoticism of this large-scale decor is revisited, with picturesque scenes of Chinese lute-players, pagodas and an imaginary lake surrounded by the Chinese Wall. A Western wink with large pheasants and bunches of woodland berries laden with ferns! Cream cotton sateen lining, original ties at top of curtains. Few microstains, no holes. Very good color and condition. Each curtain 306 cm high by 190 cm wide.
