An Alsatian headdress or emboitant bonnet in gold thread brocade, richly embroidered with lapis lazuli (?) lapis lazuli (?) canetilles and gold sequins, late 18th century. Large Indian flower bonnet design and bobbin embroidery of a lacework of curled golden blades. Black gauze lining (loose) and pink silk bow (gaps). Few pulled threads and slight oxidation. Good condition. Head circumference 46 cm, gold lace 6 cm.
