French gentleman's suit, complete with vest, breeches and jacket, in pink silk taffeta Circa 1770-1775. Slim-fitting suit with a low-cut silhouette, complete with matching decorative buttons. Small stand-up collar, angled sleeves and tail with long, skirted basques. Vest with oblique basques, flap pockets and back in buckram and cream cotton (small holes and halos on back). Buckram-lined breeches with small bridge and buttoned fly (later widening tab at back). Fully lined with original cream taffeta and cotton. Aureoles under the armpits and diffuse depigmentation of the pink taffeta, which remains crisp, trace on the back of the collar (probably from the powdered wig) and micro-cracks on the collar. No major defects. Stable condition. Suit and vest: height 105 cm, shoulders 37 cm, chest 88 cm, waist 80 cm, sleeves 62 cm. Breeches: height 64 cm, waist 84 cm, inseam 32 cm.
