A rare example of a pair of Dandy pants in... - Lot 249 - Richard Maison de ventes
A rare example of a pair of Dandy pants in mouse-gray Casimir, dating from the Romantic period Circa 1830-1840. High-waisted pants with small bridge and pockets, complete with pareil-covered buttons. Stovepipe legs with drawstring under the heel. Two lace-up tabs on the loins for a slimmer silhouette. Grey mottled linen linings and brown bone buttons to attach suspenders. Casimir is a slightly stretchy wool twill fabric that can be bent and molded to the body. A few yellowish traces and micro moth holes, some scratches on the back, but stable, resistant condition. Waist circumference 87 cm, height 122 cm.
