A round crinoline governess (?) day dress in light buff silk faille Circa 1860. Curved bodice with darts, buttoned front, long sleeves, officer collar and musketeer cuffs in black velvet. Complete with sixteen gilded chased-metal buttons. Finely fitted skirt with barrel pleats at the waist and brown tarlatan lining at the bottom. Printed cotton bodice lining. Good overall condition. Height 137 cm, shoulders 41 cm, bust 85 cm, waist 72 cm, skirt circumference 314 cm.
