Astonishing ball skirt for large crinoline draped in Egyptian cotton and cream satin Circa 1860, and its modern bodice in cream satin, replica of an original from the same period (Atelier Caraco) . Large-bottomed bell skirt in ecru cotton voile draped with cream satin bias binding with large colored satin bows at the bottom. Rare tiny snags but good overall condition. Height 138 cm, waist 72 cm, skirt circumference 570 cm. Reconstituted bodice with basques and curved cut, large sleeveless neckline trimmed with colored organza bias binding. Button closure at back and white cotton lining with seam finish. Note the finned sleeves, typical of the Second Empire. Brand-new condition. Shoulder 42 cm, waist 70 cm, chest 92 cm, back height 55 cm.
