A daytime tour in scarlet wool peluche, applied with black silk cordonnets, signed Stern Brothers, USA Circa 1880. Short, wrap-around cut, with two front panels adorned with knotted bangs with black trimmings. Remarkable applied lacework forming neo-Gothic motifs. Matching red silk twill lining. Minor moth holes and missing tassels, otherwise good overall condition. Height 70 cm, shoulders 36 cm, chest 90 cm.
