Elegant whalebone day bodice in midnight-blue silk velvet, designed by Melle Perrin Circa 1895-1900. Three-quarter sleeves with small bouffant and black and white appliqué embroidery. Large oval neckline closed in front by hooks and waist emphasized by a large black satin ribbon adorned with two gilded buckles and set with shaped metal stones. Removal marks on cuffs, otherwise good condition.
