Contemporary full calf, 5-rib spine, ornate boards, red title page, with minor defects: headpieces missing, two jaws split over a few centimeters. Freckling, some pages browned. Wormholes on a few leaves, in the margins, with loss of very rare characters. Despite these flaws, a very decent and complete copy. Gravesande, a great scientist of his time, supported Newton's theories, but above all experimental physics. Among other things, he worked on the dilation of volumes.
