Paris, Du Pont, an III [1794/1795]. One volume in-4, contemporary half-basane, smooth spine decorated with gilt fillets. 2 ff. 155 pp, map, 17 plates. Rare and much sought-after first edition of this project to make the Rhône navigable from Lake Geneva to Bellegarde. Printed by Pierre Dupont de Nemours, who ran a printing house from 1791 to 1800. A complete copy of the folding map and 17 plates, mostly folding, some etched from the author's drawings. Wear to spine, restoration to lower corner of first cover.
