One volume in-4, full posterior garnet chagrin, 5-rib spine, gilt title and heraldic lions, gilt fillet framing the boards, all edges gilt, gilt frieze alternating fleurs-de-lis and heraldic lions framing the endpapers, covers and spine preserved, leather-lined slipcase. Edition of 1,130 copies. One of 850 copies on white vellum (620). A superbly illustrated classic on the history of LYON, describing its streets and squares through the ages. From the Pierre Orsi library, with ex libris pasted on. Perfectly bound, with rare foxing, restoration to a dozen pages at the end of the volume.
