Perrossier, Essai de biblio. romanaise 177: "This brochure, as we can see, is the official report on the Austrian occupation, written by the town hall. It is the most interesting and complete report ever published on these serious events. Its author, Théodore Lambert, was not only a witness, but also an actor in the drama whose moving events he recounts. He was one of three deputies of the city of Romans to the throne, representing the city's misfortunes to Louis XVIII and asking for royal favors. The address to S.M., which he signed with the Comte de Chabrière and the Baron de Montélégier, sent to Paris with him, concludes the report. It is followed (p. 28), by way of appendix, by a letter addressed by Henri IV to the inhabitants of Romans, February 20, 1591." (Perrossier). 2/ CHEVALIER (Dr. Ulysse). OEuvres historiques. Valence, Jules Céas et Fils and Paris, A. Picard, 1897-1900. 2 volumes in-8 paperback. First edition. Handwritten initialled letter from the author. 1) Annales de la ville de Romans (unpublished manuscript). 2) The streets of Romans. Historical fragments. The consuls of Romans.
