Full black chagrin, 5-rib spine adorned with gilt heraldic lions, roulette on the edges, triple gilt fillet on the boards with heraldic lions in the spandrels, gilt head, covers and spine preserved, edged slipcase. Perfect condition. First edition limited to 525 copies, all on Arches paper, this one no. 398. An important treatise on Lyon earthenware, adorned with beautiful iconography renowned for its color fidelity. A very fine copy of this classic work, rarely found bound and in such fine condition.
