[photography] JAPAN. 34 albumen photographs, most enhanced. Photos substantially 26 by 20 cm, mounted on 26 by 35 cm boards, on tabs. Very fine album with black lacquered boards, decorated with two horsemen on the first board, ivory inlays for the hands and faces, and gilded insects and leaves on the second board. Spine missing. Two small lacquer chips on the 2nd plate, not serious. Scenes of life either posed or taken from life, many photos of women, as well as temples, landscapes... One photo with freckles, one with faded colors, one photo with a small lack at the bottom (not serious), 6 photos with a small flaw from a paper stuck on the print (not serious). Despite this, a fine set.
