[Manuscrit] Cours de Fabrication des Tissus (July 1, 1848). One volume. 29.5 by 45.5 cm. 107 leaves plus a few blank leaves. Vintage half cloth with corners, binding with exposed wires, in good condition (slight wear to spine). Very good condition inside (fine, legible writing). The work consists of an introduction, followed by 6 parts (velvet, gauze, etc.). Includes approx. 56 fabric samples and 10 drawings, plus numerous hand-drawn weaves. Attached are 10 drawings accompanied by a fabric sample from the same period, obviously order sheets with annotations, the drawing and the sample. A fine example of the science of 19th-century Lyonnais weavers (Canuts).
