Full burgundy morocco spine with 4 faux nerfs decorated in gold and cold with fleurs-de-lis, boards richly decorated with a large scroll, a fleur-de-lis semis in relief, and a raised motif inlaid in the center of the board. Gilt head, red moiré silk endpaper, burgundy half-maroquin slipcase, same decoration as the book, crimson velvet interior. A mint copy. Numerous in-texts, headbands, lettering, lamp-ends... One of the XX first copies on Arches vellum (the only paper), numbered VIII, including an original color illustration, a color suite of the hors-texts, and a garance line suite of the in- and hors-texts. With certificate. Our copy lacks the framed plate.
