[Atlas] VAUGONDY (Robert de ) and DELAMARCHE (Charles François): Atlas d'étude, pour l'instruction de la Jeunesse, composé de trente-six cartes, savoir (...). By M. Robert de Vaugondy, Geographer. Corrigé et augmenté par Delamarche, son successeur. Paris, chez Delamarche, s.d. (circa 1813). One volume. 41 by 56.5 cm. One title page, and 36 double pages mounted on tabs, including 4 tables, and 32 maps. Complete. Contemporary half-basane, smooth spine, black title page. Worn but solid binding. Some minor defects: dampstaining at bottom of maps 32 to 36. Restored small tear at edge of map 18. Minor worm damage to the upper inside corner, without affecting the maps, a few rare freckles in the margins, an old and skilful restoration of a margin of map 12. Despite these minor flaws, the Atlas is in very good condition. For a list of maps, see the photo on the title page. The Atlas is complete. Some of the maps are dated, from 1792 to 1813. A classic, here in fine condition... And high quality maps measuring 79 by 56.5 cm... Very fine planisphere, map of the Americas, map of the French Empire in 1813 (including part of Belgium and Italy), etc.
