AMBERT (General Joachim): Esquisses historiques des différents corps qui composent l'Armée française. Drawn by Charles Aubry. Paris, Degouy, s.d. (circa 1835). One volume. 39 by 54 cm. multiple pagination. 13 lithographs and one engraved title. Contemporary green half-chagrin with corners. Binding damaged (part of spine missing). Occasional heavy foxing. A mediocre copy. This copy is a reduced and complete version of the first edition, which included 16 chapters, and therefore 16 lithographs. Its format and the quality of Charles AUBRY's lithographs nevertheless make it an interesting work.
