The 1st edition of this Biblical Concordance dates from 1642.
This edition, "donné par les soins de Balthazar Tourniaire est plus complète que les précédentes." (Brunet III-col. 1203).

Born in Bordeaux, first a Jesuit, then a member of the Cluny Order, J. Biroat was an esteemed preacher, notably for his funeral orations: he was often compared to Bourdaloue.
Collection of 15 sermons, including the last one preached: "le jour de Noël en présence de Leurs Majestés" (Christmas Day in the presence of Their Majesties).
5. SURIN (Jean-Joseph): Le prédicateur de l'amour de Dieu. Posthumous work. Paris, Belin, Leclerc et Basset, L'An VII-1799. One volume.
