2000 - Aston Martin DB7 Vantage - Lot 72
2000 - Aston Martin DB7 Vantage French circulation permit Chassis n°SCFAB22361K301025 Engine n°01050 - Desirable Vantage version with the purest design and the 420 hp Cosworth V12 - Superb grey configuration with red leather interior - Sport exhaust, aluminum pedals and mesh grille - Little driven in the last few years, needs to be serviced - Excellent general condition for a little less than 98000 km - Booklet, invoices, duplicate keys and signed protective cover The Aston Martin DB7 was unveiled at the 1993 Geneva Motor Show. It was developed by Ford, which had just taken control of the Newport Pagnell manufacturer, in collaboration with TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing), whose factory served as an assembly site. The DB7, with its fluid and pure design, from the hand of the designer Ian Callum, associated with a 6-cylinder engine with Eaton compressor of 335 hp, quickly meets its public, including the purists who are at first circumspect and fall under its charm. But in 1999, in order to remain as attractive as ever, the DB7 evolved into a "Vantage". From then on, it was powered by a 420 horsepower V12 engine, designed jointly by Aston Martin and Cosworth, and available with a manual or automatic gearbox. It is the first 12-cylinder Aston Martin in history. True to its English origins, the DB7's interior is plush although it incorporates Ford elements. It is entirely covered with leather, carpet and alcantara, with multiple wood inserts and Connolly leather upholstery. A convertible version, traditionally called "volante", was available to enjoy the melodious mechanics. This version represents half of the DB7 produced, all versions included. The DB7 is a great commercial success for Aston Martin, since until recently it was the best selling model in the history of the brand with no less than 7092 units sold, including 4431 "Vantage", allowing Aston to survive and continue to maintain its legend. The vehicle of the sale is a magnificent DB7 Vantage. It is a Dutch-built coupe, with the V12 mated to a 5-speed ZF automatic gearbox. In an elegant grey livery with "Chancellor Red" leather interior with black piping, its configuration is particularly attractive. The grille, sport exhaust and aluminum pedals add a subtle sporty touch to this beautiful English car. The car was released on September 1, 2000 and delivered to its first owner the next day. Always maintained by the same garage of the brand in the Netherlands, the car is registered in France in 2011, where it knows two owners before the current one buys it in 2016. He then had a major overhaul done at Aston Martin in Lyon, which was already servicing the car. In addition to the classic service and various electrical works, during this revision the front brake discs and pads, the front and rear axle silentblocks, as well as the crankshaft spy gasket were replaced, all for an amount of more than 9000 €. The car had then 93321 km. Since then, the car has covered only a few thousand kilometers, since it now has a total of a little less than 98000 km. As it has not been driven much in the last few years, a service is to be expected. From an aesthetic point of view, the car is in very good condition. Only the driver's seat shows a little more wear than the rest of the car. The green leather booklet with the brand emblem, including the user manual and the service booklet, accompanies the vehicle. The Becker radio manual and the spare keys are also present. As well as the branded protective cover, which is added to the invoice file available on the car. Which, in addition to the maintenance booklet, allows to trace the follow-up of which it was the object. It is therefore a superb example of DB7 in its noblest Vantage version that we offer. This is in addition to a very reasonable estimate, to enjoy this timeless GT, both easy to use and prestigious.
