(Wine). FAUCON (Louis): Healing phylloxera vines. Practical instructions on the submersion process. Montpellier, C. Coulet; Paris, Adrien Delahaye et Graveson, Chez l'Auteur, 1874. One volume. 13.5 by 22 cm. 156 pages. Modern bradel cardboard, covers preserved. Very good condition of the binding. Inside with some foxing. A small tear restored without missing. 2nd edition, published the same year as the original. Rare. In 1869, Louis Faucon, who owned a 21-hectare property in Graveson, developed the technique of submersion, which consists of flooding the vines during the winter, to destroy the phylloxera.
