In the collation of volume 2, there is the cover sheet and the errata sheet between pages 184 and 185 of the work. Following page 185, four manuscript pages of plant tables and their location in the engravings. De Fructibus et Seminibus Plantarum is based on specimens of more than a thousand genera, including specimens from Australia and the Pacific from the collection of Sir Joseph Banks to whom the book is dedicated, and specimens from South Africa from the collection of Carl Peter Thunberg. It consists mainly of a study of fruits and seeds, but the resulting classification is exceptional for its time. The book is still known by its standard botanical abbreviation Fruct. Sem. Pl. The complete work consists of a volume 1, a volume 2 in four parts, and a posthumously published volume 3. Our copy includes, complete, volume 1 and the first 2 parts of volume 2. Very rare work.
