[HOLBEIN] EUSEBIUS PAMPHILIUS (Eusebius of Caesarea): Opera omnia, quae hactenus ubiq. Gentium maxima eruditorum industria inueniri potuerunt []. Basilae, Henricus Petrus, 1542. 4 parts bound in one volume. 20 by 31,8 cm. (36)-214-1 blank f.; 287; 211-1 bl. p. and 2 ff.n.ch.-169 ff.-(3) pages. Modern full vellum with overlays, titled in pen on spine, antique style. -Light marginal foxing on half of the leaves. Otherwise, very good condition inside, and binding in perfect condition. A scratched ownership on the title page, fortunately discreet. A very nice copy, with wide margins (including the title page). The title is in a very nice woodcut frame, attributable to Hans Holbein the Younger. This frame was used by Adam Petri in his 1522 edition of the New Testament. First collective edition in Latin, of the works of Eusebius of Caesarea (ca 263 - 339), the most important Christian historian of antiquity. This edition contains: I. De evangelii praeparatione, Georgio Trapezuntio interprete; II. De evangelii demonstratione, Donato Veronensi interprete; III. De historia ecclesiastica, Ruffino interprete. Item Ruffini presbyteri Aquileiensis historiae ecclesiasticae quae Eusebius aliis post se commemoranda reliquit. Eusebii adversus haeresim Hieroclis; IV. Chronicon Eusebii quod D.
