(Vivarais) (Félibre) La VOIX DU TERROIR. Popular monthly literary, historical & félibréenne review. Viviers, Imp. J. Bourg, s.d. [1906-1912], 82 issues in 7 volumes. From no. 1 of the first year (January 7, 1906) to nos. 83-84 of the seventh year (November-December 1912), with the exception of nos. 7 and 75, which are missing. 17 by 22.3 cm. Vintage black half cloth, green cloth boards, muted spine, covers preserved. (The 7th volume is bound in a modern imitation binding). Excellent condition for this collection. All that has appeared of this extremely rare journal (with the exception of two issues). The CCFr. locates only 2 complete copies (B.N.F. ; Béziers, CIRDOC). Published in Viviers by the Bourg printing house. The editor-in-chief, Joseph Bourg, edited the magazine with the collaboration, for the Provençal section, of Valréas félibre Louis Béchet. The first issue was dated January 7, 1906, and publication ended with issue 83-84, November-December 1912. The magazine was mainly concerned with the southern Rhône region of the Vivarois, between La Voulte and Viviers. It soon gained prominence with chronicles, memoirs and legends about the Vivarais region, written by scholars J. Bourg, Morton Fullerton, Sylvestre, Dr Francus, Abbé Roche, R. Labrély, Le Sourd, Louis Pize, etc. Extremely rare.
