Regency-period Rococo court vest in moiré gros de tour and silver thread friezes. Fitted cut with long, low-cut basques for a justaucorps. Gros de Tours moiré background with satin-finish damask floral friezes. Embroidered river appliqué braids in filé, curly and silver lames (oxidation) adorn the front and flap pockets. Complete with 18 buttons. Green buckram back (slight rings) with original eyelets for lacing. Cream buckram and cotton lining (dusted). Apart from a small red stain on the right pocket, good overall condition. Height 75 cm, shoulders 32 cm, chest 85 cm, height 78 cm.
