Precious ball or formal bodice, Romantic period, in taffeta covered with cream organza Circa 1845. High-waisted whalebone bodice with large décolleté and pointed cut-out with double piping. Short, double-row sleeves bouillonné with linen and colored silk gauze. Lace-up eyelet closure at back. Cream chintz and taffeta lining. Micro-shrinkage under the armpits, otherwise good condition. Shoulders 44 cm, chest 83 cm, height 47 cm, sleeves 15 cm, waist 62 cm.
