Grand soir long dress by Jean Patou Haute Couture numbered 64205, probably under the direction of Marc Bohan (1953-1957) Circa 1955. Sheath dress with large halter neckline, side zipper and snap buttons, skirt unfolding into a mermaid with small train. Black tulle bottom densely embroidered with a vermiculated pattern of jet pearls, randomly embellished with pink satin cabochons sheathed in tulle and pearls. Black faille-lined bustier with metal-rimmed bosom. Seven black tulle petticoats and inner grosgrain waistband. A few strands of loose pearls and rare small snags, no major flaws. Good overall structural condition. Size 38 equivalent. Height 139 cm, bust 92 cm, waist 75 cm, hips 95 cm.
