[Louis Perrin], 1850. One volume in-8, full honey morocco, ribbed spine, triple gilt fillet framing the boards with special scatological irons at the spandrels repeated on the spine, all edges gilt, gilt frieze framing the endpapers (binding signed MAGNIN). 14 pp. and (1) f. Tear on page 13 with one character missing.
Very rare scatological poem, of which the justification announces only "two dozen copies". Heraldic vignette at the head of the dedication depicting a coat of arms held by two crouching figures, breeches down. The cul-de-lampe is in the same tone.
A precious copy offered by the author to M. de Boissieu. The frontispiece features an original photograph by Durand of Morel de Voleine, a scatological portrait of the author in pen and watercolor, and a handwritten page: "brieve explication et commentaire relatif à l'épistre des Délices de la Campagne offerte à son amy le Sieur Messire de Boissieu, Scatalogue, par le Dict Sr des Guénardes".
From the de Boissieu library with heraldic ex libris.
