[First Empire] [Dalmatia Campaign/Siege of Ragusa] Report by Colonel Godart, commander of the 79th Regiment, on the unblocking of Ragusa: paper notebook, 8 pp. 31x20 cm (ca.1806).
In June 1806, a strong Russian squadron landed 6,000 men at the mouths of Cattaro and, assisted by 10,000 Montenegrins, laid siege to the town of Ragusa, commanded by General Lauriston. Ragusa was only saved by the intervention of General Molitor, who put the besiegers to flight.
