Fine edition illustrated by ROBERT BONFILS with original woodcuts: 6 stencil-enhanced (1 header and 5 in-text), one large ornate letter in color, 24 small ornate letters in black and sepia, and a black title vignette repeated on the cover. Limited edition of 265 numbered copies. This unjustified copy on Japon de l'Imprimeur-Éditeur [Léon Pichon] contains a suite of the 6 original woodcuts on vellum (stains). "With Léon Pichon, everything related to the printer's role was studied and rendered with the sacred fire of impeccable execution" (Carteret, Le Trésor du Bibliophile, Livres illustrés modernes, III-264).
