One large 8vo volume, full chocolate morocco, ribbed spine, covers and spine decorated with mosaic-patterned brown morocco strips set with gold fillets, ochre cloth lining set with mosaic-patterned brown morocco strips and gold fillets, gilt edges, covers and spine preserved, slipcase edged (binding signed by René AUSSOURD). 55 illustrations by Auguste Leroux, including a portrait of the author as a frontispiece, 17 inset plates etched by E. Decisy, and 37 in-text woodcuts by Clément. Limited edition of 1,220 numbered copies. One of the 30 special copies on Imperial Japan paper containing 4 states, including a color state with a model and 1 original watercolor signed by Auguste Leroux.
