One large 8vo volume, full fawn morocco, ribbed spine, gilded panels with small ironwork and a gilded, mosaic-style flower in the center of each panel, borders on the covers consisting of scrolls, dotted lines, and gilded fillets, gilded, mosaic-style flowers at the corners, gilt edges, box with trim (binding signed PAGNANT). Some engravings are faded, a few pinholes, slipcase rubbed. First edition enriched with a series of illustrations on Japanese paper, color-illustrated covers printed on pelure paper. 63 compositions by Paul AVRIL, including an illuminated frontispiece; ornamentation framing each page.
