A large 8vo volume, full chocolate morocco, ribbed spine decorated with gilt fillets and dotted lines; gilt fillets, dotted lines, and fleurons on the covers, all edges gilt, original covers preserved, slipcase (binding signed GRUEL). First illustrated edition containing 10 original compositions by Armand Poirson, engraved by Louveau-Rouveyre, Müller, and Mercier. Large-format edition limited to 50 copies, all on Japanese paper, with a pre-letter suite (no. 6). A superb copy luxuriously bound by Gruel.
