This book brings together the thoughts and experience of Jean-Baptiste de La Quintinye (1626-1688), a famous French gardener and agronomist, who gave up the profession of lawyer to devote himself to gardening. He took care of the gardens of great figures of the time (Nicolas Fouquet, the Prince de Condé, the Duke de Montausier, Colbert). In 1670 Louis XIV entrusted him with the management of his fruit and vegetable gardens. Then, for five years, he devoted himself to the creation of the King's new kitchen garden. A great classic, in good condition.
