ROZARD (Johann Claude de). *New French Fortifications*, in which the construction of fortified positions is discussed, along with an explanation of Marshal de Vauban’s three systems, how to attack and defend fortresses, how to encamp armies in line and during sieges, and how to deploy troops in battle and lead them into combat, whether on open ground or in the defense of entrenchments. Nuremberg, Jean George Lochner, 1731. 2 parts in one in-4 volume, contemporary brown sheepskin, decorated ribbed spine.
